There it is: after 1.4 mi of steep hiking, we hit a mile of plains before the storm -- 3 miles and 3,000+ feet (to 10,358). The mountain is daunting -- the trail marking doesn't do it justice. At least it's beautiful and the weather was perfect.
Brief respite half way up -- we cracked a hole in the ice and filled our bottles.
12 miles, 5,000 feet each way? Bring it. Ha.
