Topless Mountain: XXX

Of course, we're referring to Mt. St. Helens, which we hiked near on Sunday after a conference in Portland. It's a wondrous place with so many exposed areas and meadows of huckleberry and snags, such as at left. I think I was in heaven.

Perhaps the shot below gives a sense of scope of the place and exposes the whole skeleton of this mountain. It's quite impressive, even when it's missing 1500 ft (which blew off in 1980).
